Designscapes, LLC is a full-service landscape design and installation company dedicated to maximizing the potential of every home.  Our aim is to design a landscape that is as customized to our clients’ lifestyle as it is to the homes’ architecture and surroundings.

We know how important it is to listen to our clients’ goals and to come up with a practical – and affordable – design that will make their dreams a reality.  Since we install our own designs, we also know the importance of consistency in service, creativity of design, and quality of construction.

Founded in 2006 by Ryan Shuttlesworth and Tanner Bates, Ryan and Tanner successfully leverage their unique talents, experiences and educations to exceed clients’ expectations, keep projects on schedule, and keep projects within budget.

Ryan Shuttlesworth

Ryan, a Lubbock native and graduate of Lubbock-Cooper High School, attended Texas Tech University where he studied landscape architecture and horticulture.  As Designscapes’ head landscape designer, Ryan enjoys matching his creativity with clients’ ideas, goals, outdoor living aspirations, and existing architecture and surroundings of their homes to make dreams a reality.  Contact Ryan at ryan@lubbockdesignscapes.com

Tanner Bates

Tanner, also a Lubbock native and graduate of Lubbock-Cooper High School, served eight years in the United States Marines before an honorable discharge.  Tanner attended Texas Tech University where he studied horticulture with an emphasis on turf grass management, and also attended and graduated from Texas Landscape Irrigator School to become a licensed landscape irrigator.  Tanner enjoys using the project management and personnel management skills he honed over eight years in the Marines to help keep projects on schedule and within budget.  Contact Tanner at tanner@lubbockdesignscapes.com
